HOW TO SUBMIT YOUR MUSIC
DO NOT SEND A LINK TO YOUTUBE OR SPOTIFY TO US. WE GET FAR TOO MANY REQUESTS TO LISTEN TO YOUR SONG THAT WAY!
To submit your music to the Canadian Indie Country Countdown you must be Canadian.
There is roughly a 6 to 9 week wait to enter onto the Countdown.
Your song, if selected, will enter the Weekly Poll and the votes will accumulate until you have enough to join the TOP 100. Some songs may not every reach the total needed AFTER 6 WEEKS OF VOTING, and may be removed. Please make sure that you take the time to read all the info on the website, as this will help you understand the process and some of the ways you can promote yourself and your music.
Once your song has been on the countdown for 12 weeks - it has peaked - your song will begin to FALL BACK DOWN THE CHART and be removed after a few weeks, so, we can allow another Canadian Indie Artist to join!
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU WHEN YOU SUBMIT YOUR SONG!
1. - We need the Date your Song was Recorded and at what Studio!
Please provide your Producers Name!
Please provide the name of the Label and the Writers of the Song.
We also need the Release Date of your Song to Radio stations and music platforms.
Also make sure you send the Cover Artwork for your Song or a picture of you.
Without this info we will not proceed with your song, so make sure you send.
2. - We would like to know where you were born and where you reside now. - CITY OR PROVINCE OR COUNTRY
3. - TELL US A LITTLE ABOUT YOUR SELF - SHORT BIO.
Please do not send as a file attached to your email - instead - copy and paste your bio right in the email you send.
This makes it much easier to process your submission.
4. - SUBMIT A WAV FILE OF YOUR SONG LABELLED - ARTIST - SONG TITLE.
Please make sure your song has the ISRC CODE ATTACHED to your audio file!
If you do not have a code, then, let us know when submitting, that you are submitting
without a ISRC CODE.
The production of your song must be of high quality!

Please make sure that your audio file is tagged with the proper info, so you get credit for the song airing.

7. - JOIN THE CICC VIDEOS FACEBOOK PAGE AND THEN POST YOUR SONG
SO FANS AND ARTISTS WILL SEE AND HEAR IT - HELPING YOU TO SECURE SOME VOTES!
Make sure you follow or like the CICC FACEBOOK PAGE - so you will keep up with the VOTING POLL and the CICC CHARTS each week!
8. - Make sure, in the subject line, you include your - ARTIST NAME - SONG NAME - and just send us the one song you want considered for the countdown.
9. - PLEASE TELL US WHAT TYPE OF COUNTRY YOUR SONG IS.
10. - ONCE WE HAVE EVERTHING - WE WILL SEND YOUR SONG OUT TO A FEW RADIO/RECORD INDUSTRY PEOPLE FOR THEIR FEEDBACK AND ONCE APPROVED WILL BE ADDED TO THE POLL OR DIRECTLY TO THE CICC !
11 - Please make sure you include your ISRC CODE or any TRACKING CODES you have to the file and in the email. You should not be sending your music out to Radio Stations, with this info, royalties can be paid by the station or their streaming company! If you do not have a CODE, that is fine, we can still play, but no royalties can be paid to you. There are many videos' on YouTube explaining the CODES and what they mean and do for you.
NOT EVERY SONG WILL MAKE IT TO NUMBER ONE! BUT WE HOPE YOU WILL ENJOY THE RIDE!

So just charting your song is a big success, making the TOP 10 is a bonus!

You need a new demo! Quit telling people how good it is! They will tell when it is good! When everyone loves it, you have something! Then, don't quit, keep making more!
